5 Hour Utah-DRE: Post Licensure Continuing Education Course (#15999)

This 5 Hour Utah-DRE post-licensure continuing education
course is a one-time requirement for Mortgage Loan Originators who were
initially licensed in 2023, and will cover the required topics as provided by
the UT-DRE. These five hours are in addition to the 9 hours of annual CE
already required for MLO’s (8 hours + 1 hour of Utah-specific).

This brand new continuing education elective course is approved by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) (#15823) and meets Utah DRE’s requirement for one hour of UT-DRE Defined Electives.  Licensees must complete a minimum of nine (9) hours of certified continuing education (CE) in order to renew licenses. The education must include at least:
    • Three (3) hours of federal law and regulations;
    • Two (2) hours of ethics which includes fraud, consumer protection, and fair lending issues;
    • Two (2) hours of non-traditional lending, plus one additional hour of undefined education;
    • One (1) hour of elective content;
    • One (1) hours of Utah-DRE defined electives.
As this course is brand new, anyone looking to renew their Utah MLO license in 2024 can take this course regardless of which Utah CE course you may have completed last year.  This course will cover 2023 Changes to the Utah Residential Mortgage Licensing & Practices Act, Mortgage Commission Suggested Topics, and the Mortgage Licensing and Disciplinary Actions taken in 2023.

 

5 Hour Utah-DRE: Post Licensure Continuing Education Course (#14813)

This course is a one-time requirement and
is only required for MLO’s who were initially licensed from January 1-December
31st, 2022. These five hours are in addition to the 9 hours of annual
CE already required for MLO’s (8hrs + 1hr of UT-specific). This course provides a review of the topics outlined by the Utah Division of Real Estate (DRE), which are required to satisfy post-licensing education requirements for mortgage loan originators.

NOTE: The UT-DRE requires any newly licensed MLO to also complete this 5 hour post-licensure course prior to their first renewal.  In order to avoid any disruption in your license status, UT-DRE advises students should complete this course by October 24, 2023.

5 Hour UT-DRE: Post Licensure Continuing Education Course (#13726)

This course is a one-time requirement and
is only required for MLO’s who were initially licensed from January 1-December
31st, 2021. These five hours are in addition to the 10 hours of annual
CE already required for MLO’s (8hrs + 2hrs of UT-specific). This course provides a review of the topics outlined by the Utah Division of Real Estate (DRE), which are required to satisfy post-licensing education requirements for mortgage loan originators.

NOTE: The UT-DRE requires any newly licensed MLO to also complete this 5 hour post-licensure course prior to their first renewal.  In order to avoid any disruption in your license status, UT-DRE advises students should complete this course by mid-October, although students have until mid-December to complete and still be considered on-time.  This course is only required to be taken prior to first license renewal and is required in addition to the 10 hours of annual CE already required for MLOs (8 hrs + 2 hrs UT-DRE specific training).
