1 Hour UT-DRE SAFE: CE Update for UT-DRE MLO’s (#15823)

The NMLSR has granted approval for this Online Self Study (OSS) 1 Hour SAFE UT-DRE Continuing Education Course. It provides a CE Update for UT-DRE MLO’s and is customized to meet UT-DRE’s one (1) hour-specific education requirement. This 1 Hour UT-DRE OSS course incorporates timed modules, enabling students to progress at their own pace. Upon enrollment, students will receive a confirmation email containing login details and necessary technology requirements

UT-DRE Required CE

Licensees in UT-DRE must complete a minimum of eight (8) hours of certified continuing education (CE) in order to renew licenses. The education must include at least:

• Three (3) hours dedicated to Federal law and regulations.
• Two (2) hours focused on ethics, covering instruction on fraud, consumer protection, and fair lending standards.
• Two (2) hours allocated for training on lending standards in the nontraditional mortgage product marketplace.
• One (1) hour of UT-DRE-specific education

1 Hour UT-DRE SAFE OSS Course Content

The course fulfills UT-DRE’s 1-hour requirement for UT-DRE mortgage law instruction. It covers 2023 updates to the Utah Residential Mortgage Practices Act, it will also cover mortgage commission suggested topics, updates to the Utah Reverse Mortgage Act, and disciplinary actions taken in 2023. This is a newly introduced 1-hour UT-DRE SAFE CE course. This allows both new and existing clients to complete it without violating the NMLS’ successive year rule.
