1 Hour AZ SAFE: CE Update for Arizona MLO’s (#15656)

The NMLSR has granted approval for this Online Self Study (OSS) 1 Hour SAFE Arizona Continuing Education Course. It provides a CE Update for Arizona MLO’s and is customized to meet Arizona’s one (1) hour-specific education requirement. This OSS course incorporates timed modules, enabling students to progress at their own pace. Upon enrollment, students will receive a confirmation email containing login details and necessary technology requirements.

AZ SAFE Required CE

Licensees in Arizona must complete a minimum of eight (8) hours of certified continuing education (CE) in order to renew licenses. The education must include at least:

• Three (3) hours dedicated to Federal law and regulations.
• Two (2) hours focused on ethics, covering instruction on fraud, consumer protection, and fair lending standards.
• Two (2) hours allocated for training on lending standards in the nontraditional mortgage product marketplace.
• One (1) hour of Arizona-specific education.

1 Hour Arizona SAFE OSS Course Content

The course fulfills AZ-DFI’s 1-hour requirement for Arizona mortgage law instruction. It covers license maintenance, reviews license requirements, and outlines prohibited acts for MLO’s in Arizona, with a focus on preventing mortgage fraud. This is a newly introduced 1-hour Arizona SAFE CE course. This allows both new and existing clients to complete it without violating the NMLS’ successive year rule.
