2 Hour VT SAFE: Understanding Vermont Mortgage Law Online Self-Study Pre-Licensing Education [Course #10988]

Course Format

My Mortgage Trainer, Inc. conducts this 2 Hour VT SAFE: Understanding Vermont Mortgage Law pre-licensing education course in an online setting. Students can progress through the online modules at their own learning pace. The course utilizes My Mortgage Trainer, Inc.’s Learning Management System (LMS), which supports multiple browsers. Additionally, the course delivers its content in two (2) modules, accessible at any time. To enhance comprehension, the course incorporates case studies and practice quizzes. Following NMLS requirements, the class concludes with a final exam and survey. Upon enrolling in the class, participants receive a confirmation email containing login information to initiate the course. Upon logging in, participants must read and acknowledge the ROC’s agreement and confirm their identity through bio-signature to proceed with the online course.

This course will cover key topics such as Licensing, High Rate Loans, Financial Privacy, Debt Protection, Reverse Mortgages, and The Vermont Consumer Fraud Act. By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Understand how to obtain and maintain an MLO license under the VT Licensed Lenders Act;
  • Comprehend the types of activities licensees are prohibited from engaging in;
  • Become familiar with the mortgage broker agreement and the required inclusions in the agreement;
  • Gain an understanding of reverse mortgages, financial privacy, and the VT Consumer Fraud Act.
