2 Hour West Virginia SAFE: CE Update for West Virginia MLO’s (#15702)

The NMLSR has granted approval for this Online Self Study (OSS) 2 Hour SAFE West Virginia Continuing Education Course. It provides a CE Update for West Virginia MLO’s and is customized to meet West Virginia’s two (2) hour-specific education requirement. This 2 Hour West Virginia OSS course incorporates timed modules, enabling students to progress at their own pace. Upon enrollment, students will receive a confirmation email containing login details and necessary technology requirements

WV Required CE

Licensees in West Virginia must complete a minimum of nine (9) hours of certified continuing education (CE) in order to renew licenses. The education must include at least:

• Three (3) hours dedicated to Federal law and regulations.
• Two (2) hours focused on ethics, covering instruction on fraud, consumer protection, and fair lending standards.
• Two (2) hours allocated for training on lending standards in the nontraditional mortgage product marketplace.
• Two (2) hours of WV-specific education.

2 Hour WV SAFE OSS Course Content

The course fulfills West Virginia’s 2-hour requirement for West Virginia mortgage law instruction. It covers License Renewal and Maintenance, Residential Mortgage Loans, Conditions and Limitations of Certain Mortgage Transactions, and Disclosures and Advertising. This is a newly introduced 2-hour West Virginia SAFE CE course. This allows both new and existing clients to complete it without violating the NMLS’ successive year rule.
